Career
Vincent Aboubakar’s professional career began at Coton Sport, where his prolific scoring in the Cameroon Première Division quickly attracted international attention. In 2010, he made the move to France, signing with Ligue 1 club Valenciennes. He spent three seasons developing his game at the club before moving to fellow Ligue 1 side Lorient in 2013. His single season at Lorient was a breakout, as he scored 16 league goals, showcasing the power and finishing ability that would define his career.
This performance earned him a transfer to one of Portugal’s biggest clubs, FC Porto, in 2014.
